The flowers Ellen provided were absolutely perfect. All of us we impressed with the amount of detail and thought that went into every piece. She honestly exceeded my expectations while still being mindful of my budget. Her work ethic and creativity are unfortunately too rare these days. I would highly recommend her to any bride!

Ellen made our wedding absolutely stunning - the flowers were so breath taking... I have never seen such creativity and was really blown away with every piece she did! We enjoyed working with her from the very first meeting and knew she had to be part of our big day! She listened to what we liked and helped us to create a vision that really shined through on our wedding day- we got so many compliments. I was in tears just looking at the table settings and bouquets. I would highly recommend her to any future bride- you get the whole package- someone that is easy and great to work with and also has a unique image of flowers and really knows how to piece everything together! Ellen was AMAZING!! She made my wedding day exactly how I have always envisioned it. She was so professional, flexible, and caring. She came up with amazing ideas that would look beautiful while still staying in my budget. She was the best, and most fun, part of the entire wedding planning process.

What a joy it was to work with Ellen! After talking to us, she new exactly what my daughter wanted for her wedding. She worked with us on the budget and made wonderful suggestions. It was the little "extras" that she did for us that made it so special and personal. Working with Ellen was the most enjoyable experience. I just can't say enough good things about her. Ellen was GREAT! Not only was she fun, energetic and easy to get along with, but she's a true artist. I was one of those "control freak" brides, but with Ellen I felt at ease and I truly trusted her! I let her take control once I showed her a few images of what I liked, and told her what I didn't like. The flowers MADE my wedding. From the moment we met Ellen, we realized there was something unique and refreshing about her approach to wedding flowers. A lot of the other vendors we spoke with were inflexible and unwilling to work with us on a smaller budget, but Ellen didn't seem phased nor did she suggest that having a smaller budget would somehow compromise the beauty of her work. She is truly and artist and is passionate about her work, her flowers, and her brides. I strongly believe that her end goal is not all about the income but the fulfillment of producing beauty and satisfying her clients. In addition, Ellen is very in touch with the environment and takes special consideration to engage in the friendliest practices out there. She even has her own garden which is amazing and carefully crafted to best suit the plants' needs. We were also pleased to know that she makes use of the flowers after the wedding by either donating them to various places (like a women's shelter) or composting them. When I finally saw what she had produced for us on the day of the wedding, I couldn't have been happier. She is creative but truly listens to what you want and your vision of the day. Looking back on the pictures, I love seeing the pieces of her work throughout and how much it adds to the beauty of that day. You won't go wrong by hiring her!

I wanted an English Garden, Vintage Pale colors with a palet of soft roses, peonies, lavender and cream colors... natural twigs and berries, subtle and soft- ALL on a Budget- unbelievable quality and attention to detail- so kind absolutely beautiful! I LOVE flowers, so it was particularly important to me that I find a florist that could realize the vision I had for my wedding flowers. From my first email, all the way through the whole experience Ellen was a joy to work with! It was so much fun to brainstorm ideas with her and then see our ideas turn into such a beautiful display on my wedding day. The bouquets, ceremony decorations and flower arrangements surpassed my expectations and my guests are still complimenting me on them months after our wedding. Ellen Readio of EllenCara Boulder showed an amazing attention to detail. She had suggestions (but was not pushy) and gave us unique ideas to plan our dream wedding. Ellen was by far the most responsive of any of the vendors with whom we worked. If I called or emailed her, she responded right away. She was extremely professional. Ellen's attitude about flowers and design is inspirational. She has a passion for her work, and her artistry showed through her creative interpretation of what we wanted. She delivered exactly what we hoped for, and exceeded our expectations. Her work was magical. You get what you pay for with flowers- however, Ellen was very helpful with regard to stretching our budget. She explained to me that some of the special flowers I wanted for a winter Colorado wedding would be expensive to get from the Netherlands, but did use them in the design. She has the capability to do "green" weddings but also added sparkle and shine to our design. She supplemented those expensive rare flowers we wanted with other more local, less expensive flowers. The result was that we got the flowers we wanted with the overall look, in full bouquets, for less. It was genius, and without Ellen's knowledge and decades of experience doing this work, we would have fallen short. Ellen was a pleasure to work with every step of the way. She made me feel special as a bride. She made my mom happy, which is not easy to do! Ellen has other neat rentals with which to decorate. For example, we rented some amazing tree candle holders for the ceremony. They were really cool, and look beautiful on our wedding video. Ellen has great ideas for how to make a simple space transform into something wonderful...She made all of the wedding party, our parents, and grandparents feel special. Ellen is the sweetest woman ever! She did such an amazing job with the flowers. She knew what I liked and what I wanted and blew me away with her designs. We were on a very limited budget and you never would have known it. I couldn't have been more pleased. Ellen went above and beyond for us as a florist and weeding coordinator. Ellen was amazing. She listened to what I was looking for and made the flowers for our wedding absolutely perfect. It was just amazing. People were commenting on everything from the center pieces to the flower girl bouquets, down to the boutonneires. The highlight was the custom "altar" pieces that she made for the gazebo, the site of our ceremony. She really goes above and beyond and I wish I could get married all over again just to see what other magic she would bring to the day.

I used to be a wedding coordinator and was planning, with the help of one of my best friends, to put together all of my own wedding arrangements and bouquets. At close to the last minute my friend was unable to come to my wedding and I decided we needed to call in a professional. My mom and I feverishly called several florists, but most were completely booked! Ellen met with us at very short notice, I remembered seeing her gorgeous displays at wedding expos, and was excited that she might still be able to squeeze us in on a busy August wedding weekend. After a few short minutes of meeting her we were convinced that she got our vision and she was very willing to work within our budget. I could not have been more pleased with everything that Ellen did, the arrangements were gorgeous and bouquets were more exquisite than I could have imagined. Being from Hawaii I had some special requests, Ellen was able to accommodate everything down to the last detail and even added a few surprise touches that further personalized our event and completely exceeded my expectations. Ellen was such a pleasure to work with that I am sad the wedding is all over and there are no more bouquets, succulent gardens and boutonnières to talk about. Ellen is a very caring, professional and talented person and I loved working with her to create my perfect wedding flowers. She did a great job meeting my needs and finding special flowers and succulents just for me. I loved everything she created and would recommend her to any bride out there.

Ellen is AMAZING to work with. She is the sweetest person you've ever met and her jewelry and flower work is breath taking! Ellen met with us on multiple occasions and went above and beyond anything I ever expected. The flowers were the most beautiful flowers and arrangements I have ever seen in my life she puts so much love and care into each arrangement to make it perfect. She was very easy to get a hold of and would answer emails sometimes within minutes of sending them. She worked with my husband and I to see what exactly we had visioned and what we wanted. Let me say that her flowers and jewelry were more beautiful and perfect than I had pictured in my head. It was like she knew me better than I knew myself. She had the most amazing ideas to help bring out my colors and visions. I don't know what I would have done without her! She also hand makes beautiful jewelry that we had made for all of my bridesmaids and myself. She matched their crystals on their necklaces to the color of each girls sash and the necklace she made me was stunning with my dress (you also can't beat the price). I recommend Ellen 100% she is a pleasure to work with and her hard work and beautiful ideas are worth every penny!

Words cannot describe how incredible Ellen is on so many levels! The first impression of Ellen was kind, genuine, personable, professional, and extremely talented. She made me feel comfortable and special every throughout the entire process. My husband came with me on a couple visits and was impressed and actually excited to be involved (thanks to Ellen). I had few ideas what I wanted in flowers except for a budget, one color, and one flower. Ellen was there to guide me along, offering her expertise, and supporting any ideas I may have had. I left all of the creativity in the hands of Ellen and she gave me more than I could've imagined. My flowers turned out absolutely beautiful. They were reflective of me, my personality, and the were perfect for us. On top of the flowers, Ellen also created stunning jewelry (necklace and earrings) for my bridesmaids, mother, and mother-in-law. Since she also made jewelry for one of my matrons of honor, she did a great job finding a way to make it unique to me and my special day. The jewelry was undoubtedly amazing! I love the fact that my best friends will be able to enjoy their pieces after our wedding.I'm sad that the wedding is over because Ellen feels like a friend, but I hope to stay in touch. She helped make my day memorable and helped me feel special. I am truly greatful for my friend Cassie for recommending Ellen to me, but even more to Ellen for being more than I could have imagined. Ellen did a fantastic job. I really was not that into flowers and didn't want to spend a ton of money on it for my wedding. I knew what colors I liked and a few flowers i didn't like and that I wanted something bold and fun. Ellen was awesome in taking all of this into consideration. She really tried to work within my budget and still give me the look i was going for. THis was much appreciated. She also did a great job incorporating my mothers veil into my bouqout, without making it look tacky. :) It was a nice touch. I really liked her artistic and funky side and liked the fact that I could give her a little of what I was going and she would put it all together and come up with something great. THanks again!

Ellen did an absolutely BEAUTIFUL display of flowers for the wedding of my Daughter. The flowers on the tables and everywhere we asked were just perfect. We couldn't have asked for anything more perfect and beautiful. The mother's wrist corsages were so unique and beautiful. The men's boutonnieres were so cool and would you believe after a week the bridesmaids bouquets are still looking great. I still have them in vases on my kitchen counter. Everyone can't believe how they've held up. The jewelry I ordered for myself was outstanding, I received quite a few comments on it. Thank You Ellen!!

The flowers were absolutely stunning! Everything was so perfect, I would not have changed a thing! I absolutely loved the different colored wire on the boutonnieres and the leaves on the centerpieces. I could go on and on about how fabulous everything was! I am extremely satisfied with Ellen's work. She has amazing talent and I'm so glad that I got the opportunity to work with her!

Ellen was fantastic! She has a great artistic vision and was able to create flowers/decor that was even better than we could have imagined. We had met several times to discuss the look and colors that we wanted for our wedding. After these meetings, it was very clear that she is very talented and had so many great ideas. So, we gave her a lot of space to design our centerpieces, altar arrangements, etc. We were so thrilled on our wedding day to see how fantastic everything looked! I can't say enough good things about Ellen. From the first time we met she paid so much attention to every detail of my daughter's personality and went over and above to make her dreams happen. She wanted to know the different traits of her bridesmaids so she could tailor the jewelry to that person. Every table centerpiece was unique yet within the color scheme. She incorporated the beauty of nature in all of the bouquets, boutonnieres, jewelry, corsages, and various arrangements. She made all of the women feel special with the jewelry she crafted. Ellen also dealt well with the stress of the day and handled the last minute crisis of a family member wanting a corsage instead of a wrist corsage and crafting a last minute boutonniere for a man we forgot. She eased any ruffled feathers and helped in areas that she didn't have to. Ellen made our day so special and was an example to follow in her flexibility and grace.
